[origin: WO2010081863A1] The present invention relates to a handheld scanner (10) having a scanning device (11) for plausibility checking of scannable data and having at least one operating panel (20) for plausibility checking of non-scannable data. The handheld scanner (10) according to the invention is characterized by an operating panel (20) which is formed exclusively as a collection of programme functions, represented by means of push buttons (21, 22,...), in such a way that the desired plausibility check and/or correction step can be selected in a menu-controlled fashion by operating one or more push buttons (20, 21,...); and in that the data to be scanned of an order content is depicted on a display (30) of the handheld scanner (10) and, if not scannable, can be acknowledged by means of the one or more push buttons (21, 22,...).
