Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Verwendung unter Wasser mit einem elektrischen Arbeitsmittel, wobei das elektrische Arbeitsmittel vorzugsweise elektrische Leuchtmittel und/oder Lichtempfindliche Sensormittel umfasst, und einem Gehäuse (3) zur wasserdichten Aufnahme des elektrischen Arbeitsmittels. Das Gehäuse (3) weist ein für Licht transparentes erstes Gehäuseteil (5) und ein dem ersten Gehäuseteil (5) gegenüberliegendes zweites Gehäuseteil (7) auf. Erfindungsgemäß sind das erste Gehäuseteil (5) und das zweite Gehäuseteil (7) aus Kunststoff gebildet und wasserdicht miteinander verbunden. Hierbei sind das erste Gehäuseteil (5) und das zweite Gehäuseteil (7) entlang einer Berührungsline verschweißt.
