The system has a cover element (24) moved to a workspace (12). Lifting- and/or tensioning ropes (30a, 30b) are insertable through a passage (32) in a wall (22) of the workspace, and are attachable at stop points (60a, 60b) that are provided at the cover element. The cover element completely overstretches cross-sectional area of the workspace in a usage position (34) of the cover element to form a protected working area. The cover element comprises a circumferential collar along an edge region of a base surface of the cover element, and directly lies at the wall in the usage position.

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein System zur Ausbildung eines geschützten Arbeitsbereiches innerhalb eines durch eine Wandung (22) begrenzten Arbeitsraumes (12) umfassend ein zusammengefaltet oder aufgerollt in den Arbeitsraum (12) einbringbares, dort in eine Gebrauchsposition (34) positionierbares und auffaltbares oder ausrollbares Abdeckelement (24) und mindestens ein durch eine Durchgangsöffnung (32) in der Wandung (22) in den Arbeitsraum (12) einführbares und an an dem Abdeckelement (24) vorgesehenen Anschlagspunkten (60a, 60b) befestigbares Hebe- und/oder Spannseil (30a, 30b), wobei in der Gebrauchsposition (34) das Abdeckelement (12) die Querschnittsfläche des Arbeitsraumes (12) vollständig überspannt und unter sich einen geschützten Arbeitsbereich ausbildet. Das erfindungsgemäße System zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Abdeckelement (24) entlang der Randbereiche der Grundfläche (38) des Abdeckelements (24) einen umlaufenden Kragen (40) aufweist, wobei der Kragen (40) in der Gebrauchsposition (34) unmittelbar an der Wandung (22) des Arbeitsraumes (12) anliegt.
