[origin: EP2390217A1] The system (2) has a lift cage (12) driven by a drive motor (14). A position sensor (42) detects position of the lift cage within a moving shaft (4). A control unit (44) controls a catch-up effect for catching-up the cage in a reference-position at a holding point (10), when the position sensor signalizes incorrect deviation of an initial-position of the cage from the reference position, during opening of a manhole door (8). A blocking device (34) is controlled such that the blocking device is found in a blocking position, during the catching-up process.
