[origin: EP2390582A1] The present invention relates to a casing for a domestic appliance. The domestic appliance comprises a bottom part (40) formed as a metal sheet, two side walls (20) formed as metal sheets, a rear part (30) formed as a metal sheet, and a top part (2) formed as a metal sheet. At least two adjacent parts (2, 20, 30, 40) of the casing are connected together along their common adjacent edges. At least two adjacent parts (2, 20, 30, 40) of the casing comprise foldbacks (15, 27, 29, 41) extending along the common edges, at least one part (2, 20, 30, 40) comprises at least one embossing (15A, 48A) arranged at a predetermined distance from its foldback (41). Said predetermined distance corresponds with the width of the foldback (27, 41) of the adjacent part (20), so that the foldback (27, 41) of the adjacent part (20) is clamped between the foldback (41) and embossing (15A, 48A) of said one part (2, 40).
