[origin: WO2007147622A2] The invention relates to a time display with a substrate having a display surface, means for visual highlighting of discrete points of the display surface to give a time display, a controller for controlling the highlighting means as a function of the time and a separate linear or curvilinear scale for each hour of the (day) time for display within which the minutes of said hour are displayed by means of cumulative or point highlighting. The scales are arranged such that the starting point for each display of the hour for display corresponds to a closed analogue circulating hour arrangement and the finishing point is arranged distinctly separate from the temporally directly succeeding hour position, such that in each case the display of the change in hour occurs with a jump and the scales form a common intersection, through which each scale runs or the scales actually or in the imaginary extension thereof do not form a common intersection, wherein, on arranging the scales exclusively at right angles to each other, the same form common intersection points.
