[origin: WO2010086123A1] The invention relates to a control circuit for an electric motor driven window winder (10) on a motor vehicle (1), comprising a first switch (11) for opening a vehicle window (7) and a second switch (12) for closing the vehicle window (7) and a controller (15), which on operation of the switch (11, 12) controls the window winder (10) to get the vehicle window (7) into the open or closed position and with means (14, 15, 17) for detecting a vehicle flooding. The controller (15) monitors the illumination current (ILED) flowing through an illuminating element (14) for the switch (11, 12) and generates a control signal (I12) as necessary to open the vehicle window (7), wen the illumination current (ILED) exceeds an overload threshold (lRef).
