The separator has a centrifuge drum (1) with a drum lower part (2) and a drum upper part (3), in which a product to be processed is guided through an inlet pipe (8) and a distributer (7). The centrifuge drum is rotatable around a rotational axis (D). A discharge for picking up the solid phase is formed in the drum lower part of the centrifuge drum. The discharge leads from an outer radius (R-13) in solid space (27) in the centrifuge drum to an inner radius (R-17) of a discharge chamber in the centrifuge drum.

Separator, zur zentrifugalen Trennung einer Suspension in wenigstens eine Flüssigkeitsphase und eine fließfähige Feststoffphase, der folgendes aufweist: eine um eine Drehachse (D) drehbare Schleudertrommel (1) mit einem Trommelunterteil (2) und einem Trommeloberteil (3), in welche ein zu verarbeitendes Produkt, durch ein Zulaufrohr (8) und einen Verteiler (7) führbar ist, wenigstens einen Flüssigkeitsaustrag (12) und wenigstens einen Feststoffaustrag (22), und einen Feststoffraum (27) vertikal außerhalb eines Tellerpakets (4), zum Sammeln eines aus der Suspension abgetrennten Feststoffs, wobei im Trommelunterteil (2) der Schleudertrommel (1) eine Ableitung (13) zum Abgreifen der Feststoffphase ausgebildet ist, welche von einem äußeren Radius (R 13 ) im Feststoffraum (27) in der Schleudertrommel (1) zu einem inneren Radius (R 17 ) einer Ableitungskammer (14) in der Schleudertrommel (1) führt, in welcher ein im Betrieb des Separators nicht drehendes Schälorgan (19) angeordnet ist.
