Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2392725A2] The dryer has a rotatable drum for retaining drying laundry, and a drive for driving the drum. A control unit controls alternative driving of the drum in two rotation directions for two time intervals (deltaT1, deltaT2), respectively, where one of the rotation directions is set against the other rotation direction. One of the time intervals persists longer than the other time interval. A fan produces a processing air stream, where the drive comprises a common shaft for driving the drum and the fan. An electric motor drives the shaft in the rotation directions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating a laundry dryer (2) a computer program element with a computer program code, comprising a set of instructions for executing a method for operating a laundry dryer.
