Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2393065A2] The method involves searching a valuable document in a predefined inspection region using images (Abb.1, Abb.2) of a surface region if a predefined security feature is determined. An image of the valuable document is generated using the images of the surface region if the valuable document is found in the predefined inspection region. The image is stored in a valuable document data memory when predefined criterion are satisfied. A determination is made that a surface in the predefined inspection region is provided with the valuable document. An independent claim is also included for a device for automatically inspecting whether a region of a surface of an article is provided with a valuable document.
