[origin: DE102009003745A1] The method involves disconnecting a compressor by a controller for avoidance of thermal damage, if a maximum value of compressor temperature reaches or exceeds. The controller is provided for assigning supplied compressor power to system components depending on momentary compressor temperature. The compressor temperature is increased, during feeding of compressor capacity corresponding to respective compressor capacity-requests. One of the requests is selected from the set of compressor capacity-requests by the controller.
