[origin: EP2395306A2] The method involves filling fibrous goods (3) in a container (2) of a drier (1), and introducing dry gas (8) through an upper area of the fibrous goods, where the dry gas downwardly flows through the fibrous goods. The fibrous goods supplied to the container are distributed over a cross-section of the container by using a distributing device (6) and moved along support elements (10) in the container. The dry gas is discharged from a lower area of the fibrous goods through a permeable wall of the container as wet gas that is loaded with moisture from the fibrous goods. An independent claim is also included for a drier for drying fibrous goods.
