Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2395606A1] An electrical connector (1) includes a connector main body (2) made of an insulating material for attaching an end portion of a pair of single wires (102) untwisted at an end portion of a twisted pair cable (101); and a shell member (3) to hold the untwisted portion (106). The shell member (3) includes a base portion (4) made of a conductive material to dispose the connector main body (2) at the front end side and the untwisted portion (106) at the basal end side; a cable holding portion (7,75) made of a conductive material to hold the single wires (102) at the untwisted portion (106) for positioning the single wires (102) parallel to each other and close or contact to each other; and a cover portion (8) provided on the base portion (4) to have at least the untwisted portion (106) and the cable holding portion (7,75) between the cover portion (8) and base portion (4).
