[origin: WO2010041184A1] A cleaning device (1, 31, 41, 51) for cleaning a surface comprises at least one brush (3, 4) rotatable in a rotation direction and movable over the surface to be cleaned and at least one deflector (13, 14, 52, 53, 71, 81) contacting the bristles (17) of the brush at a location, seen in the rotation direction, before the location where the bristles contact the surface to be cleaned (16). The deflector (13, 14, 52, 53, 71, 81) is movable against spring force.
