[origin: WO2010092183A2] The invention relates to a device for cutting a porous, substantially flexurally stiff board (1), in particular a laminate floor board, comprising a frame (2), a support (3) for the board (1) that is formed by the frame (2), a plunge slit (4) associated with the support (3), and a cutting blade (6) that is fastened to the frame (2) so as to be able to swivel about a swivel axis (A) formed by a swivel bearing (5, 9) and in such a way that the cutting edge (7) of the cutting blade plunges into the plunge slit (4) when the cutting blade (6) is swiveled from an open position to a closed position, wherein a cutting point (8) lying in the swivel plane between the support (3) and the cutting edge (7) moves from the proximal side of the support (3) with respect to the swivel bearing (5, 9) to the distal side of the support (3) with respect to the swivel bearing (5, 9) while the cutting blade (6) is closed. For development that is advantageous in regard to use, a holder (60) is proposed that loads the board (1) in the direction of the support (3) when the cutting blade (6) is swiveled from the closed position in the direction of the open position.
