Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010057642A1] For a computer system for data analysis, the training time is to be significantly reduced by technical provisions; furthermore, the memory requirement necessary is to be reduced substantially through the use of technical measures. An electronic data processing system for analyzing data is therefore proposed, comprising at least one analysis computer, wherein the analysis computer is equipped and programmed to implement a self-adapting neuron network, which with a plurality of data records having multiple features is to be subjected to a training during which initial neuron weights are to be allocated to the neurons of the neuron network, neuron weights which are to be obtained from the plurality of the data records with the multiple features thereof are to be allocated to the neurons of the neuron network, a training comprises multiple training phases, and wherein each training phase has a determined number of training runs, wherein at the beginning of each training phase, either neurons, the neuron weights of which are derived at least partially from weights of neurons that are present, are to be inserted into the neuron network, or neurons are to be removed from the neuron network, and the neuron weights of the remaining neurons are at least partially to be weighted with parts of the weights of the neurons removed.
