[origin: EP2397051A1] The mail receiving container (1) has a receiving box (11) and an electrically controllable interlocking device (61) which is controlled by an electronic control device (2) to interlock or unlock an input from the receiving box. The electronic control device contains a safety module which is connected with a microcomputer of the electronic control device under normal operating conditions. The microcomputer is connected with an input-output device under normal operating conditions. An input unit and an output unit control the electronic control device. An independent claim is also included for a dispatch system with a communication network.
