[origin: EP2397265A2] The device (10) has a mechanical energy storage device i.e. helical spring, for storage of mechanical energy, and an energy transfer element movable between an original position and a setting position for transmission of the mechanical energy from the helical spring to a fastener e.g. bolt. A power transmission device transmits force of the mechanical energy on the energy transfer element, where the energy transfer element includes a recess, and the power transmission device extends into the recess.
