[origin: WO2010063248A2] The invention describes a method and an apparatus for the diffusion-catalytic conversion of hydrocarbon-containing residues in two stages, in a first stage at 120-200ºC, heated by the waste heat of the power generator in order to convert the solid input materials into a reaction slurry and, in a second stage, to convert them into a middle distillate by way of a conversion using one or more oil reaction vacuum pumps, which are coated on the inside and equipped with a hydraulic gasket.
