[origin: EP2399860A1] The foldable driver protection roof has a roof mechanism (6) that is moved between a set up operating condition and a folded operating condition. The roof mechanism is supported in the set up operating condition at corner areas by four columns (4,5). The roof mechanism is held in the folded operating condition at two of the four columns. The length of the four columns is varied in such a manner that the length of the columns in the set up operating condition is larger than in the folded operating condition.
