[origin: EP2400068A2] The sink (1) has a rinsing frame (3) exhibiting a planar region (6) between the frame and a rinsing bowl (2) in sectional manner. A recess (8) is provided in the planar region, and exhibits sufficient depth for holding perpendicular arranged household rinsing brushes and other cleaning articles e.g. rinsing clothes. The recess is designed in form of a container, which is made of plastic material with an anti-bacterial finish. A covering element comprises a central slot, which co-acts with upper edge (8a) of the recess to center the covering element.
