Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2400104A2] The door (10) has a sliding door wing (12) displaceable within a sliding door guide (16) between open and closing positions along horizontal direction. A door drive (26) drives door movement along opening and closing directions. A normal actuator (38) is provided for automatic actuation of the drive in normal operation. An escape door function actuator (42) allows a person to operate the drive during emergency operation to implement opening and closing cycles of the door wing from the closing position that is initiated by a fire protection function device (40). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a fire protection sliding door.
