Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010097253A1] The invention relates to an illumination device (10) and to a method for illuminating a projection area on the basis of a plurality of different illumination patterns. The control of the illumination unit (10) is carried out on the basis of illumination data received via an interface (12) from an external central system or stored in a storage unit (15). In this manner, a plurality of different illumination patterns can be implemented and thus at least up to four reading lamps can be replaced by a single illumination unit (10).
