Method for manufacturing plastic labels (5) with self-adhesive pattern, and attaching such labels such that they are enfolding a tin (6), whereby: €¢ a strip of plastic foil (8) is printed using a digital printing technique, whereby the side edge (4) of consecutive label prints on the strip is situated at right angles to the lengthwise direction (L'); €¢ an adhesive (11) is attached to the foil; €¢ a tin (6) is enfolded by the foil, whereby a side edge (4) is overlapped by another part (14) of the foil, whereby the part of the foil that is enfolding the tin is adhering to the tin by means of said adhesive; €¢ a part of the foil is cut off.
