Abstract (en)
[origin: GB2468309A] The laminate film comprises aluminium foil 10 bonded to a heat sealable film 12 by a chemically resistant ethylene acrylic acid copolymer (EAA) layer 14. The heat sealable film 12 preferably comprises a layer (120, figure 2) comprising polyethylene, especially a blend of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), and a layer (124, figure 2) comprising ethylene (meth)acrylic acid copolymer. The exemplified extrusion laminated film comprises (in order) bi-axially oriented polyester (PET) or nylon 6, polyethylene (LDPE) 8, Al 10, EAA 14, EEA (124, figure 2), blend of LDPE + MDPE (122, figure 2) and blend of LLDPE + LDPE (120, figure 2). The film is used to make a sachet.
