[origin: EP2226397A1] The alloy contains the following elements, all expressed as percentage ranges or maximum percentages by weight. Si 8.0 - 9.0, Fe 0.5 - 0.7, Cu 0.01 max, Mg 0.010 max, Mn 0.010 max, Cr 0.001 max, Ti 0.20 max, V 0.020 max and Sr 0.010 - 0.030. The remainder is largely aluminum. Further elements and process impurities are present at up to 0.05 wt%. Their collective concentration is up to 0.2 wt%. The total content of elements Mn, Ti, V and Cr is up to 0.02 wt%.
