[origin: WO2010102595A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a hot rolled strip from transformation-free ferritic steel, wherein a melt is cast into a preliminary strip and said strip is subsequently rolled into a hot rolled strip. For this purpose, it is provided that the melt is cast in a horizontal strip casting system into a preliminary strip in the range between 6 and 20 mm with a killed flow and free of bends and is subsequently rolled into hot rolled strip having a deformation of at least 50%.
