[origin: WO2010102416A1] The invention relates to a revolving flat card (1), comprising a drum (4) and a revolving flat assembly (5) which spans a working width (B) of the drum (4) and comprises a flat card (6) that revolves. The flat card (6) is mounted on both sides outside of the working width (B). The drum (4) and flat card (6) are equipped with pieces of clothing, which are disposed opposite of each other on part of the revolution of the flat card (6) and form a carding space (24) in between each other. Means are provided for adjusting the carding space (24) during the course thereof over the working width (B) of the drum (4), wherein the setting of the carding space (24) can be varied depending on operating parameters or depending on a flat card position.
