[origin: WO2010103251A1] The invention relates to a system for submerging a hydraulic turbine engine (40), including an assembly including: an elongate transverse flow turbine engine (41); a carriage (43) for receiving said assembly in a prone position; a ship (44) provided with a winch (45) for supporting the carriage on the deck thereof, the bottom side of the turbine engine facing the stern of the ship, the top side being tied to the winch by a pull line (46); and jacks for righting the carriage and said assembly to a position that is vertically perpendicular to the stern.
