[origin: WO2010102827A1] The invention relates to a lamp socket (10), in particular for the headlight of a vehicle, for fastening a luminous element (12) to a luminous element holder (20) of a reflector (22). The lamp socket (10) can be introduced into a luminous element holder (20), in particular a reflector (22), by inserting it in an insertion direction (R) into an insertion position. The luminous element holder (20) comprises at least one first spring (28), which can apply prestress to the lamp socket (10) that acts against the insertion direction (R). A second spring (32) is provided, which can apply prestress to the lamp socket (10) that acts transversely to the insertion direction (R).
