[origin: WO2010105380A1] The apparatus for fastening a dental prosthesis comprises a bar patrix (20) and a connecting part (10), which can be attached to the dental prosthesis and has a recess into which the bar patrix can be inserted and which is surrounded by two side walls (11, 12) connected by way of a ceiling element (13). The side walls (11, 12) and the ceiling element (13) are shaped such that the dental prosthesis, when it is placed on the bar patrix (20) by way of the connecting part (10) attached thereon, rests on the bar patrix by way of a first (11), a second (12) and a third support area (13c), wherein in each case a free space (14a, 14b) is present between the first and third support areas and the second and third support areas.
