By using a disinfecting element (1, 11, 21) according to the invention, the antibacterial effect of the disinfecting element (1, 11, 21) is increased, such that an undesired accumulation of germs and bacteria on contact surfaces can be prevented or at least maintained at a low level in a particularly simple manner.
