[origin: WO2010106262A1] The invention relates to a flexible roof for an automobile, to be mounted in an opening (8) of the top of the vehicle, said flexible roof including a web (1) and being mobile between a position in which said web (1) is stretched for closing the opening (8), and a position in which the web (1) is folded for exposing the opening (8), characterised in that the roof includes at least first and second levers (12, 13) pivotably connected together and extending under the web (1), the first (12) of said two levers comprising a front end to which the front edge (1a) of the web (1) is attached, said two levers (12, 13) being mobile between a first position in which the levers (12, 13) are aligned with each other and stretching the web (1), and a second position in which the two levers (12, 13) are folded against each other, the web (1) being slackened and folded back around said two levers (12, 13).
