[origin: WO2010107343A1] The invention refers to an arresting mechanism for a mounting bracket (2) of a vehicle seat, of the type which is arrestable to a track (1) having a regular array of apertures (1a) joined by undercut slots (1b), and which mounting bracket on its side facing the track (1) has downwardly projecting members (3, 10) for engagement with the said apertures and undercut slots, at least one of said downwardly projecting members (10) being movable to clamping contact with said undercut track (1), wherein one (3) of said downwardly projecting members is fixed and can be inserted into one of said apertures (1a), whereas the at least one movable, downwardly projecting member (10), is positioned on the mounting bracket (2) at a distance from the fixed, downwardly projecting member (3).
