The guiding device (30) has guide elements aligned with deflection rollers (38) of a packaging machine, and a rod-shaped element (50) cooperating with the guide elements. Direction of the guide elements is changeable, and the rod-shaped element is releasably connected with the guide elements. The rod-shaped element temporarily fixes an end (22) of a material web (20) and guides the material web end along a travel path and/or sections of the travel path. A guide assistance (34) comprises a link guide (36) utilized by the rod-shaped element. An independent claim is also included for a method for guiding ends of a material web.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Führungsvorrichtung (30) zum Führen wenigstens eines Materialbahnendes (22) in einer Verpackungsmaschine (10), die mehrere Umlenkrollen (38) für die wenigstens eine Materialbahn (20) aufweist. Die Führungsvorrichtung (30) umfasst mindestens eine Führungshilfe (34) mit einem oder mehreren Richtungswechseln (60) sowie mindestens ein stabförmiges Element (50) zur temporären Fixierung des wenigsten einen Materialbahnendes (22). Das stabförmige Element (50) ist beweglich in der Führungshilfe (34) zur Umschlingung der Umlenkrollen (38) mit wenigsten einer Materialbahn (20) angeordnet. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft außerdem ein Verfahren zum Führen wenigstens eines Materialbahnendes (22) in einer Verpackungsmaschine (10).
