Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2410114A2] The device (4) has a door frame (2) on which a connecting element (6) is formed of a hinge unit, where the device acts against compressive force that is generated by a blast wave and from weight of a door leaf (3) and applied in one of vertical and horizontal directions in moving, opening and closing state. The compressive force of the door leaf is transferred to a rail (5) by a carriage layer (7) e.g. telescoping layer, where the device is made of metal, metal alloys and plastic and made in one piece. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an overload protection device for a vehicle door.
