Die Renovierungsleiste dient zum Abdichten und Verdecken einer Fuge zwischen einer Gebäudelaibung und einem in der Laibung angebrachten Bauteilrahmen. Sie hat eine hohle Profilleiste (10) mit einer Fixierfläche (12) für die Befestigung an dem Bauteilrahmen und einer dazu rechtwinkligen Dichtfläche (16) für die Überbrückung der Fuge mittels eines elastischen Dichtstoffes. Gemäß der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, dass der elastische Dichtstoff aus einer fest mit der Dichtfläche (16) verbundenen, im Querschnitt rechteckigen, komprimierbaren Schaumstoffleiste (18) besteht, die auf ihrer von der Fuge (28) wegweisenden Seite von einer Dichtlippe (24) abgedeckt ist, die einstückig mit der Profilleiste (10) ausgebildet ist ( Fig. 2 ).
