[origin: EP2413291A1] The device (10) has a pre-selection filing cabinet (12) mounted above a support plate (14) of mail items and formed by a set of movable pads to select the mail items one by one and transport the mail items to downstream along a referencing wall (40). The movable pad placed away from the referencing wall comprises constant adhesion coefficient and the other movable pads comprise variable adhesion coefficients that increase by moving closer to the support plate. An upper part of the movable pad comprises low adhesion coefficient, and a lower part comprises high adhesion coefficient.
