Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010112247A1] The invention relates to a method and to an arrangement for sending an emergency call depending on a specified accident criterion, wherein the emergency call comprises a data set having general data and accident-specific data that are determined from dynamic sensor data of a passenger- and/or pedestrian-protection system (1) and are recorded before and/or after the occurrence of an accident criterion and allow for conclusions about the accident situation. According to the invention, during a first time period, starting from a first point in time before the occurrence of the actual accident criterion, the data set is prepared for a potential emergency call and is brought into a specified, transmittable format, wherein the first point in time is determined in that a potential hazardous situation leading to an accident criterion is detected.
