[origin: EP2415525A2] The pipette has a volume setting unit arranged in a pipette housing for adjusting liquid volume pipetted during operation of an operation lever (5). A control slide (9) is arranged at an axially displaceable rack gear (7) and controls intervention of a latch (8) into a gearing. The control slide is more adjustable at the rack gear in a specific position via the setting unit. The rack gear comprises a carrier (7.2) and a gearing part (7.3). The carrier includes a receiver for the gearing part that bears the gearing, where the carrier and the gearing part are made of different materials.
