The washing unit comprises a first container (2) which provides a first washing medium and a second container (4) which provides a second washing medium, wherein the second washing medium is different from the first washing medium at least in one property. The washing unit further comprises an application apparatus (10) which at least occasionally applies the first washing medium and the second washing medium respectively to the container processing device. According to the invention, the washing unit comprises at least one feeding pipeline (12) which occasionally conveys the first washing medium and the second washing medium to the application apparatus (10). The application apparatus (10) is provided with a changeable outlet cross section for washing medium, wherein the outlet cross section automatically changes according to the quitted washing medium.
