The hand-held polishing machine comprises a drive motor (40) and a drive motor shaft (56) which is driven directly by the drive motor. A polishing tool shaft (28) is oriented transverse to the drive motor shaft. A reduction gear (46) comprises a planetary gear (50) which is provided as a speed reduction stage (48). A rotational axis (58) of the drive motor shaft and a main axis of the planetary gear are coaxial.

Es wird eine handgehaltene Poliermaschine (10) vorgeschlagen, umfassend einen Antriebsmotor (40), eine Antriebsmotorwelle (56), welche direkt durch den Antriebsmotor (40) angetrieben ist, eine Polierwerkzeugwelle (28), welche quer zu der Antriebsmotorwelle (56) orientiert ist, und ein Untersetzungsgetriebe (46), welches an die Antriebsmotorwelle (56) und die Polierwerkzeugwelle (28) gekoppelt ist und welches mindestens zweistufig ist, wobei das Untersetzungsgetriebe (46) als eine Untersetzungsstufe ein Planetengetriebe (50) umfasst und wobei eine Drehachse der Antriebsmotorwelle (56) und eine Hauptachse des Planetengetriebes (50) koaxial sind.
