[origin: EP2417881A2] A steam generator and a cooker having the same are provided. The steam generator includes a heating chamber including a chamber body and a chamber cover coupled to the chamber body, the heating chamber having a heating space defined between the chamber body and the chamber cover, a water supply hole through which steam water is supplied into the heating space, and a steam discharge hole disposed above the water supply hole to discharge steam, and one steam heater inserted into one of the chamber body and the chamber cover, the steam heater heating the steam water stored in the heating space to generate the steam. Thus, a food may be further effectively cooked using the steam.
