Producing a ceramic or mineral metal matrix composite material, comprises loosely arranging ceramic granules (4) or a mineral material containing granules in a mold cavity (1), and subsequently casting the granules in metal. An independent claim is also included for a mold produced by the method, as a wear-resistant member.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines keramischen oder mineralischen Metallmatrix-Verbundstoffes, bei dem in einer Gussform keramisches Granulat oder aus einem mineralischen Material bestehendes Granulat lose angeordnet wird, und bei dem anschließend das Granulat mit Metall umgossen wird. Die Erfindung betrifft darüber hinaus Formteile, die nach dem Verfahren herstellt sind.
