Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2420441A2] The assembly (1) has a ballasting unit (32) filled with a ballasting material (33). The ballasting unit is arranged such that the assembly stably floats in water without water ballast in the ballasting unit that extends an elongated, tubular tower section (3) form an upper side (4) of a trunk body (2) transverse to a water upper surface (34). The body includes an inner chamber (15) defined by a shell (25). The ballasting unit is arranged and configured such that the assembly is lowered by introduction of water ballast in the ballasting unit from a floating condition. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing an offshore assembly.
