[origin: EP2420616A1] The method involves transporting of wood chips in a bunker (1), where the chips are pre-cooked in the bunker by hot steam. The wood chips are preheated in the bunker using microwaves or ultrasonic waves. The wood chips are discharged and drained from the bunker by a screw conveyor (2) in a digester (3). An independent claim is also included for a plant for processing of wood chips for manufacturing medium density fiberboard.
