Abstract (en)
The fitting has a function unit (3) comprising water-carrying components, and accommodated in a housing body. The housing body comprises two shell-shaped parts (1, 2), which are manufactured from metal alloy or plastic in die-casting process. The shell-shaped parts are adhesively bonded to each other or connected to each other by a material bonding to form a hollow element that surrounds the functional unit by joining process. The shell-shaped parts comprise cast aluminum alloy and exhibit joining edges (11-13, 21-23) provided with respective profiles. The cast aluminum alloy is selected from a group consisting of aluminum die-cast alloy and zinc die-cast alloy. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sanitary fitting.

Bei einer Sanitärarmatur mit einem Gehäusekörper und einer Funktionseinheit, die wasserführende Bauteile umfasst und im Gehäusekörper der Sanitärarmatur aufgenommen ist, wobei der Gehäusekörper wenigstens zwei schalenförmige Einzelteile (1, 2) umfasst, ist vorgesehen, dass die schalenförmigen Einzelteile (1, 2) aus einer metallischen Legierung oder einem Kunststoff im Druckgussverfahren hergestellt und zu einem die Funktionseinheit umschließenden Hohlkörper mittels eines Fügeverfahrens adhäsiv oder stoffschlüssig miteinander verbunden sind.
