The filter unit has a front plate (10), a filter element (12) and a collecting chamber (145) for collecting impurities, where the collecting chamber is partially formed by a cover rail that is connected with the front plate. The cover rail is arranged at the upper side of the front plate. The cover rail has a channel area (140). The cover rail is made from plastic.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Filtereinheit für eine Dunstabzugshaube (20) umfassend eine Frontplatte (10) und mindestens ein Filterelement (11, 12). Die Filtereinheit (1) ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Filtereinheit (1) mindestens einen Sammelraum (145) zum Sammeln von Verunreinigungen aufweist und der Sammelraum (145) zumindest teilweise durch eine Abdeckschiene (14) gebildet ist, die mit der Frontplatte (10) verbunden ist. Zudem wird eine Dunstabzugshaube (20) mit Filtereinheiten dieser Art beschrieben.
