[origin: EP2420748A2] The method involves determining value that represents operating point of a heating surface and comparing the operating point representing value with a stored reference value of the heating surface. A current opening position of a thermostat valve is reduced around a reduction value, particularly a fixed reduction value, until the comparison provides a result in accordance with another reduction, if the comparison indicates a hydraulic over supply of a heating surface. An independent claim is also included for a system for hydraulic balancing in a heating system.
