The condition e.g. lamp temperature of gas discharge lamp (10) is detected. The start up value of the electric power fed into the gas discharge lamp at the beginning of the startup phase is selected and set based on the detected temperatures. An independent claim is included for device for controlling power supplied to gas discharge lamp of motor vehicle.
Abstract (de)
Vorgestellt wird ein Verfahren zum Steuern der Leistung, mit der eine Gasentladungslampe (10) einer Kraftfahrzeugbeleuchtungsvorrichtung im Anlauf eines aktuellen Wiedereinschaltvorgangs betrieben wird, der automatisch nach einem Erlöschen der Gasentladungslampe (10) ausgelöst wird, das in einem Anlauf eines vorhergehenden Einschaltvorgangs aufgetreten ist. Das Verfahren richtet sich dadurch aus, dass der im Anlauf eines aktuellen Wiedereinschaltvorgangs verwendete Startwert der Leistung nach oben durch den im Anlauf des vorhergehenden Einschaltvorgangs verwendeten Startwert begrenzt wird und nicht in Abhängigkeit von einer Temperatur der Gasentladungslampe (10) bestimmt wird. Darüber hinaus werden zur Durchführung des Verfahrens eingerichtete Erneuerungsvorrichtungen (14; 54; 56) vorgestellt.
